Uncle Shed’s Crest Cookies did not start with a business plan, but with a memory time could never erase.
One day, I stood in the kitchen with my three-year-old son and wondered which memories of his childhood he would carry with him. My thoughts returned to Suriname, where I lived with my grandmother.
One memory has never faded: the wonderful scent of her freshly baked peanut cookies. To share that feeling with my son, I recreated her cookies.
As they baked, the familiar scent filled our home and brought my childhood back to life. My son loved them and kept asking for more. Everyone who tasted them reacted the same way.
That is how Uncle Shed’s Crest Cookies came to be: a cherished memory, baked with love for a new generation.
